Being There, Standing Still: A Pandemic Film Screening Unit brings together a selection of moving image works created during and in response to the pandemic, reflecting on everyday experiences shaped by isolation, suspension, and uncertainty.

The screening unit presents video diaries, experimental films, observational recordings, and educational outcomes developed under restricted conditions. Working within limited spaces and altered rhythms of daily life, the creators transform personal emotions, domestic environments, urban stillness, and psychological shifts into visual narratives that can be revisited and shared.

As an educational and archival initiative, this screening unit also examines the role of moving image practices during a time when physical classrooms and museum spaces were inaccessible. Video became a vital medium for learning, reflection, and expression. Through this program, audiences are invited to re-enter a collectively experienced yet individually lived moment, reconsidering what it meant to be present, and what remains after everything came to a pause.
