​Exhibition Introduction

​

This solo exhibition brings together a series of abstract paintings created by the artist over the past year. The works emerge from an intensive and ongoing series of experiments with color, in which fields of pigment collide, overlap, dissolve, and shift across the surface, generating constantly changing visual rhythms. Vivid and highly charged colors function not merely as decorative elements, but as a direct perceptual language moving continuously between deliberate control and intuitive response.

Throughout the past year, the artist has repeatedly tested the relationships between colors and their behavior across different scales, densities, and compositional structures. Each painting can be understood as an individual experiment, while also remaining connected to a larger and evolving visual investigation. At times, colors confront one another with striking intensity; elsewhere, unexpected balances emerge through proximity. Forms, boundaries, and spatial relationships are continuously redefined through these chromatic encounters.

Rather than constructing a fixed narrative, the works return attention to color, form, and perception themselves. Traces of spontaneity, speed, and uncertainty remain visible throughout the paintings, allowing the act of painting to become a site of testing, adjustment, and rediscovery.

Curated by Liang Wang, the exhibition presents a concentrated view of the artist’s practice over the past year, tracing the way color develops from a material element of painting into a space for thought, perception, and emotional experience.
